We love any opportunity to partner with other woman-owned businesses. Meet Cheryl of Wicksburgh, who has been lovingly hand-pouring our curated scent collection of candles for several years.

Tell us about your business

Established in 2022, Wicksburgh crafts handmade molded beeswax candles that are not just for burning. These show-stopping candles can act as home decor, seasonal table scape pieces or bespoke personality-centered gifts. Wicksburgh is woman owned and a portion of profits is donated to animal welfare organizations.

What inspired you to create it

I’ve loved arts and crafts since I was young and once I learned how to pour candles I knew it was a craft that I wanted to master. Seeing the molded candle trend emerging, I jumped on the opportunity to try my hand at selling at local markets and on Etsy. I also grew up seeing my grandma sell her knitwear at church craft shows and I really love the culture of handmade artisan markets.

A shared vision and shared values <3 I’m so happy to be apart of love, and the importance of this beautifully curated store in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh

How do you show yourself love 

Staying active and nourishing my body with movement and prioritizing quality sleep. Also learning to gracefully say no to things that I know will deplete my energy.

 I always want to thank Kelly and Monica for being my very first wholesaler and first Wicksburgh pop-up! I might not have had the confidence to go for it if it wasn’t for their support.
