We joyfully took love on the road early this year, all the way south to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, home of University Of Alabama, and the lovely Coastal Cowgirl Cafe. The owner, Yazmyn, kindly hosted both our pop-up AND photoshoot. We would love for you to learn more about Yazmyn and her delightful business.

tell us about your business?

Coastal Cowgirl Cafe is a vibrant, welcoming eatery located in Tuscaloosa, AL. Merging the laid-back charm of coastal life with the rustic appeal of cowgirl culture. Our cafe offers a unique dining experience, featuring a menu inspired by coastal flavors +southern comfort food

what inspired you to create it?

I felt that this town needed an eatery that was solely focused on the female experience - girly, pink, health conscious, safe, aesthetic, where they can come vibe.

how do you show yourself love?

I try to be very kind to myself by stating the things I'm grateful for and trying to look for the positive in any situation. This also requires me to set boundaries to protect the energy I would like to keep myself surrounded with. I also love a "me" day - going to a workout class, getting my nails done, doing a little online shopping, buying myself flowers - It's very rare that I will deny myself of something I want

what is your favorite love song?

Put your records on by corinne bailey rae is so soothing. It's about embracing natural beauty, self-acceptance, and finding freedom by letting go of worries, being true to yourself, and just letting your hair down.
